What do flags do? They represent people, they hold a history, and they tell a story. Telling a story and holding history are two different things. Today we found a flagpole that told a very different story than the history of the flag. What this resident may be saying, we may not know, but it is making a statement.

Our American flag's history is ever changing. It may add stars, it may add stripes, but the guidelines in which it is displayed will not. The American Flag should always be displayed to it's own right, unless it is the highest most flag in the display. The American flag should also be as large or the largest flag in the display.

But across the street, our video captures a resident with a larger Marine Corps flag than American flag. This is a sign of disrespect which may have been unintentional. However, this Marine may have been trying to say something. It isn't always easy to put up what you believe on a flagpole. What might this Marine be saying?

What do you think it means when a larger military flag is flown beneath an American Flag?
