Here is an example of the changing times. Let us explain. When we took this video, about a year ago, the town of Lincolnwood, Illinois, unbeknownst to us, was planning a redesign of the area as well as flag display. The old flagpole parts with the half gone ball ornament at the top of the center flagpole were scheduled to be replaced. All new brick work was planned to be laid. And earlier this year, the completed the task.

So after we posted this video online. We were surprised to find this comment:
"You should revisit the Lincolnwood Campus. The area you show was completely redone with brick pavers, landscaping, and new lighting for the flags. It looks awesome day or night."
Now we are putting a return visit in the schedule to see this great display all fixed up. One thing we have learned over time is that things change outside. Trees grow up, buildings and bridges get demolished, where the flagpole and flag goes eventually falls victim to what goes on around it. A tattered flag display one day can look like a brand new flagpole the next.

Seeing Lincolnwood come together as a community and rebuild this area is a nice testament to the respect and pride these people have. We can't wait to get back to the town center to see how they've remodeled.
