One of the FlagRunners, Brent Alexander, finds the finish line at the United Run for the Zoo this morning in 31:23. That's 5:03 average per mile! Congratulations! We are proud of him and his win against some stiff competition, although you can't see them in this shot.

United Run for the Zoo:
"The United Run for the Zoo is one of Chicago's oldest running events, attracting children and adult athletes of all levels of ability to compete in a myriad of athletic events.

Proceeds benefit the Lincoln Park Zoo, the oldest zoo in the country and one of the last free public institutions in America.

New for 2013: the Safari Stampede is a mini obstacle course for kids to express their inner animal! Registration fees required and includes special event-participation shirt! The Safari Stampede replaces the free Kids Dash from previous years."
This is a great event for a great cause. Check out Elmhurst's Four on the Fourth for his next conquest.
